Field Museum of Natural History (West Door)

Classroom 2 (unless the Museum notifies us otherwise when you come to the meeting)

Directions to the meeting:

From the south:
Turn right off of Lake Shore Drive at the traffic light at McFetridge Drive.

From the north:
On Lake Shore Drive (and driving south):

- continue driving past Roosevelt Road, under McFetridge,
- exit down the right side to 18th street,
- make a left turn under the highway (eastward),
- head toward the lake,
- then follow the road northward around the eastern side of Soldier Field,
- pass Soldier Field to the stop sign at McFetridge Drive,
- turn left (westward),
- pass the south steps of Field Museum,
- make a sharp right turn into the West Parking lot entrance.

Stop at the gate house and press a button, wait for a response from the loudspeaker and tell security you are visiting the Camera Club. They should then lift the gate.

If all else fails, there is access to underground parking under the north end of Soldier Field. Enter the parking lot at the north end of the stadium, from the east and just south of McFetridge drive. By parking in the northeast corner of the underground facility you exit facing the south door of Field Museum, then walk around to the west entry of the museum. Payment is through a machine as booths are not manned at night.
